Seo, Seok Bin

I finished my Ph.D. in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). My early research focuses on experimental modeling of boiling heat transfer, as well as thermal design and safety assessment of various nuclear systems including advanced reactors and associated safety components. I came to UTK as a postdoctoral research associate at Department of Nuclear Engineering, and my recent research focuses on the multiphysics modeling of species transport inside various fuel forms (LWR fuel cladding, fusion nuclear applications) using BISON code along with a systematic sensitivity and uncertainty analysis. I joined the group in Oct. 2021, and currently work on the fission products release from TRISO fuel particles in post-irradiation examinations using BISON code.
