My current work focus on divertor heat flux research. The divertor peak heat flux is one of critical issue for ITER and NSTX-U. Recent empirical scaling predicts the SOL power decay length λq ~1mm when this empirical scaling to ITER. NSTX-U will operated in 2MA plasma current,  cause the SOL λq approach to 1.6mm according to the empirical trend, which will make a big challenge for the safety of divertor tile. One of my important work is to research the mechanism which some edge fluctuation (like edge harmonic oscillation ) will broaden the divertor heat flux and decrease the divertor peak heat flux. In the future, I will construct several new IR diagnostics in NSTX-U.
