I am a Ph.D. student in the Nuclear Engineering Department at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. My research experience is in experimentally measuring the permeability, diffusivity, and solubility of deuterium in various metal samples. I am familiar with using ultra-high vacuum systems, measuring surface characteristics with a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and using a furnace to heat samples to a constant temperature. My current research interests include studying deuterium and tritium bubbles in plasma facing components, as well as the consequences of the material morphology due to the bubble formation.
